Karlsrhue – Germany (Dec 12– Jan 13)

CAS Ltd have been subcontracted to assist with the installation of 660m2 of ETFE roofing, on a new build in Karlsrhue in Germany.

Our works are to install access and safety systems for the main contractor to allow their personnel to work at height safely.

CAS personnel will remain on site for the duration of the works both installing the temporary safety systems and assisting with the installation of roofing project. Duration of the project approx 4 weeks.

Theatre by the Lake – Keswick (Jan 13)

In the summer we were approached by the theatre to look at the issue of cleaning the high level gutters safely. As with many properties this had traditionally been done by a man on a ladder. Having reviewed their procedures the Theatre wished to address this situation and make the whole process safe.

CAS Ltd installed a series of work positioning cables to allow for continuous attachment whist working at height. In January we carried out the annual clean of the gutters whilst remaining attached to the safety system.

Ropes Course Maintenance (Jan 13)

After the annual inspection of the ropes course, it was decided some of the safety lines above one of the high level elements had become tight between the supporting trees.

CAS Ltd removed the existing lines, swaged new 12mm wire ropes onsite and installed them ready for use in the same day.

Wind Turbine Blade Inspectors

Due to the increase in work in this sector CAS Ltd now has two IRATA level 3 Wind Energy Technicians, who have independent training & assessment in blade inspection and repair.
