Temporary Rock Stabilisation Works

Works:~ To stabilise cliff face and prevent further rock fall in the short term.

Client:~ Geomarine (Jersey) Ltd

A series of rock falls had rendered the area below the clff extremely dangerous and all public access below was removed.  Our works were to assist Geomarine in the temporary stabilisation of the face until a permanent solution can be found.

The work site was extremely awkward and constricted due to the close proximity of buildings.  Works included the rigging and tensioning of several horizontal cables, the installation of many 2m face dowels, and the covering of the whole face in maccaferri rock fall netting.  All works were completed ahead of schedule.
